Corona Life Services holds its annual Walk for Life each autumn – on the first Saturday in October. The purpose of the Walk is to raise awareness and funds for CLS Pregnancy Center. The day is fun-filled, bringing together individuals and families from Corona and other local communities to enjoy great music, amazing food, and even a little exercise! But, of course, most importantly, participants & sponsors raise funds to support the ministry and work of Corona Life Services in their quest to provide alternatives for pregnant women in crisis.

Our 13th Annual Walk for Life was held on Saturday, October 1, 2011.  The purpose of the Walk is to raise awareness and funds for CLS Pregnancy Center.  By this definition, the Walk was a huge success. 

The center has been filled to the brim with clients in need of pregnancy tests, giving our loving counselors the opportunity to provide education on all of their pregnancy options and encourage positive lifestyle changes.  Also, the number of participants and funds raised hit an all time high!  Here are the highlights:

We raised nearly $58,000
900 walkers participated
32 churches/organizations were represented

And the winners are….

Winning Team = New Beginnings Community Church, raising $12,967.5
Adult Winner = Marlene Weyghandt, raising $3,045
Teen Winner = Haley Vega, raising $655

Thank you to all the volunteers who labored without complaint to make this event such a lovely day.  Since Corona Life Services was established, there have been over 400 babies saved from the threat of abortion.  Many other women have received healing through abortion recovery or have pledged to live their lives with sexual integrity. We are privileged to belong to such a generous and caring community.
