Pregnant & Need Help?
What We Do
How You can Help
Serve In Our Center
Corona Life Services could not operate without the love and dedication of our many volunteers. No experience is necessary to volunteer for CLS, we will train you! No matter your level of availability or what your gifting are and we can use you on our team!
RN Volunteers for Ultrasounds, Pregnancy Test
Our Volunteer Nurses serve as part of the Corona Life Services Medical Team which provides support and care to clients, maintaining professional standards of care. The Volunteer Nurse works in conjunction with the other clinic volunteers to assure the clients are receiving the best medical, nursing and psycho-social care possible. Nurses administer pregnancy tests, perform limited obstetrical ultrasounds and provide community referrals for clients – all while demonstrating Christ’s love to each client.
Client Advocates (Decision Counseling)
Our Client Advocates reach out to women in a crisis by a offering compassionate listening ear and practical assistance. The Advocate meets with the client to explain the pregnancy testing procedure and talk with her regarding pregnancy choices (parenting, adoption, abortion). By using the “Love Approach” method, Advocates learn to help clients see a vision and a future for themselves and their preborn children.
Mentors reach out to men and women who are new parents and give them practical parenting and life skills training Our Curriculum takes them from fetal development, to nutrition, to discipline, to setting a budget, and even Christian discipleship. Mentors build an ongoing relationship with clients; providing a positive, stable influence.
Men’s Program Mentors
Men’s mentors work one on one with our male clients on an as needed basis. Our mentors develop relationships and offer Biblical solutions to men who feel unprepared for impending fatherhood, want to improve relationships in their families, or have experienced loss/guilt through abortion.
Abortion/Grief Recovery Facilitators
These counselors and facilitators lead women through curriculum designed to help them deal with their grief, guilt & shame. There is great opportunity to help heal women who are afflicted with negative thoughts and teach or remind them of God’s forgiveness and His ability and desire to make each of us whole.
Pregnancy Loss Counselors offer comfort and hope to women who have suffered miscarriage, still-birth or infant death. Counselors work with women to help them process their grief and support them in a time when others may not understand the profound nature of their loss.
Sexual Integrity Mentors
Sexual Integrity Mentors promote Godly principles about love, sex and marriage to our clients and the teens in our community. Volunteers can serve on the Vertical Love Team (an annual retreat for local teens to promote purity) as well as offer mentoring to clients in the areas of reproductive health, sexual integrity and sexual healing.
Data Entry & Reception
This position is for those comfortable on the computer; scheduling appointments, assisting Center Director with data entry and assisting with center record keeping. Client interaction is limited to greeting/initial client intake and answering phone calls.
Bilingual Parenting and Client Advocates
Mentors are able to communicate with our Spanish speaking clients in the language they are most comfortable in. We are in need of more parenting mentors able to translate concepts from video learning modules and determine material goods needs.
Serve In The Community
Ambassador For Life
Ambassadors are individuals who prefer to serve out in the community. Ambassadors promote the services, events and needs of Corona Life Services in their sphere of influence; such as their Bible Study groups, community networking groups, businesses or social clubs. Ambassadors also represent CLS at community events and “vendor booths”. Ambassadors serve on an as needed basis and are given current promotional materials and event materials for distribution in the community.
Church Liaisons serve a similar role to ambassadors, but are responsible to promoting CLS fundraising events and pro-life events at their church. The liaison works directly with their church’s administrative staff to ensure their congregations are informed of CLS events and educated on pro-life matters. Liaisons serve in the months immediately preceding major fundraising events.
The fundraising Team consists of volunteers directly involved with specific fundraising events. These volunteers participate in planning meetings and are involved in a specific aspect of a fundraising event. Volunteers are always needed for the Walk for Life and Banquet Committees.
